Software Engineer I – Java Programmer

Perform software programming, design, estimation and planning. Perform installation and configuration of applications and systems, customer support, documentation and testing. Develop requirements from user specifications for new features and enhancements. Create JSP pages and matching back-end functionality. Create and modify Maven 2 build scripts. Deploy and debug J2EE compliant applications using Tomcat Application Server on Windows Server platforms. Participate in requirements-gathering process with clients.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physical or Life Sciences, or related field, or foreign academic equivalent plus 1 year of work experience in Java Programming.

• Alternatively, Scientific Technologies Corporation will accept a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physical or Life Sciences, or related field, or foreign academic equivalent in lieu of Bachelor’s and 1 year experience.

• 1 year experience with Java, J2EE including JDBC, JSP, JSF, ANSI SQL and Javascript and/or Javascript Frameworks.

• Experience in all of the following: Struts, Maven, Spring; Oracle, CSS, HTML. .

• Skills may be acquired through relevant course work.

• All experience may be gained concurrently.
