Software Engineer – Build / Test Automation

SoundHound is on the cutting-edge of speech recognition and natural language understanding technology. SoundHound’s platform is used by many partners in the automotive, robotics, and consumer electronics industries to add speech capabilities to their products.

In order to deliver high quality products that demonstrate the superiority of our solution, we need engineers who prioritize quality and are attentive to details. Your responsibility will be to improve the automated build system and to create an automated test framework that is capable of running our Houndify solution on multiple platforms, ranging from automotive head units to coffee makers.

About the Role:

• Automating build processes and regression tests
• Troubleshooting build issues
• Creating and maintaining build scripts

Requirements:

• Proficiency in shell scripting, preferably Bash
• Strong Linux skills; ability self-administer
• Familiarity with Jenkins
• Programming language proficiency in any of the following: C, C++, Java, Go, Perl, Python
• At least three years of software engineering experience
• B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent

Nice-to-Haves:

• Knowledge of algorithms
• Knowledge of Boost.Build and Make
