CSE does the following:

Learn: We work with product engineering to develop deep technical skills on the newest technologies and features (most often pre-release or just released software) through hands on internal hackathons and early documentation.

Code With: We work closely with partners and customers to implement these technologies side by side with them with real scenarios. We are not consulting and don’t charge for our time. We are there to teach and understand where our technology works (and doesn’t work) in the real world. We don’t run science experiments.

Share: Based on our engagements with partners and customers, we take our learnings and share by teaching at conferences and communities, creating or extending open source projects, or bringing real world feedback back to our product teams.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities include:

Developing and maintaining a strong technical skillset on key cloud technologies such as AI/ML, Containers, DevOps, or IoT.

Working with customers and partners to implement solutions based on Azure or integrating Azure into their projects.

Building reference architecture, frameworks and toolkits to drive scale of adoption in the ecosystem or working in open source communities to enable support and adoption of our platform.

Participating in community conversations through meetups, blogs, support forums, and conferences.

Bringing learnings back into Microsoft to teach other members of CSE what you know and helping influence the product development with real life feedback.

Qualifications

We are looking for:

Someone who loves to learn and learns fast. You are on a learning journey in your career & want to be someplace that supports your learning on the job as well as training opportunities. You know every day that you have further to go and have no ego in asking questions.

Someone who loves getting deep in a technology. More than likely you ask yourself daily “How does this work?” and then begin rolling up your sleeves.

Someone who embraces ambiguity and runs with it. We know you won’t have all the answers, but we will work with you to find them.

Someone who likes to share what they know. You most likely have a GitHub account, social media account, and even though doing a presentation may make you nervous, you like to tell others about technologies.

Someone who likes code. You like to write, look at it, share it, and break it. You can’t help yourself from checking out the code when it is available or sneaking a peek via View Source.
