Title : Software Engineer

General Function:

Skorpios Technologies, based in Albuquerque, NM is a fabless silicon photonics company.

This is a rare opportunity to work with a highly motivated, high performance technical team on highly differentiated, disruptive technology. We are currently looking for a Software Developer to join our team.

Education and Experience :

Bachelor’s/Associates degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and/or equivalent professional experience.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities :

Experience in Automated Test Software Development

Expertise in C#, .NET, Windows Forms, Python

Relational database schema design and SQL

Web development a plus

Must be self-directed and customer-oriented

A collaborative team player able to work in a dynamic environment

Physical Requirements/Work Environment :

Successful completion of a post-offer pre-employment drug screen and background check.

The job is somewhat sedentary, consisting of sitting, standing, and walking.

May at times carry, push, or pull items in excess of 20 pounds.

Daily use of a computer, copy machine, telephone, and general office equipment.

Regular use of manufacturing and other fab equipment.

Some travel may be necessary at times, depending on needs of the organization.

Essential Job Functions:

Functions are subject to change to meet the needs of the Company.

Facilitates the implementation of engineering changes throughout product life cycle.

Reviews existing processes and enhances them.

This is an intense industry-focused position, not research-centered.
