Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for the development, design, and maintenance of our stack. It will be your task to ensure that all of our applications are best of breed. You will work within your team to develop, test, and deliver business requested applications and APIs. You will be assisting with both the creative and implementation process. This position works with our UX/Product teams throughout the development life-cycle.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Architect efficient and reusable backend systems that drive complex web and mobile applications in an agile work environment.

Work on any variety of cool things – such as IBM Watson based on social media research.

Nerd out on more technologies than we can list here.

Here’s what we’d like to see:
1+ years of experience building web applications from start to finish.

Experience in SQL, NoSQL, Javascript, and NodeJS/Express (or equivalent framework).

Working knowledge of all layers of the application stack from the OS to frontend.

Tireless, creative, hungry, wears many hats.

Bonus points if:
Have a GitHub account or are an active supporter of the open source community

Have worked with SASS, Compass, LESS, or other CSS scripting languages

Have experience with Jade, dust.js, HAML, handlebars, mustache or other templating engines

Have experience in NodeJS

Have experience with JavaScript frameworks such as ANgularJS, Chaplin, Backbone, Knockout.js, Meteor, etc
