Job Description

Intel’s Internet of things Group IOTG, is one of the fastest growing organizations within Intel and is creating a world class software capability. Our IOTG group is looking for a Software Engineer to help define and implement Software solutions that meet those requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that’s shaping software solutions for IOTG. Some of the interesting challenges that we are handling include Smart Buildings, Transportation/Automated driving, Digital Surveillance and Retail solutions.

Responsibilities Include:

• Design and develop software for IOTG platforms & solutions. Includes gathering software requirements, integration and tests.
• Working closely with internal and external product development teams, program managers and customers to prioritize technology features and contribute to development as it progresses.
• Build relationships throughout the HW, SW and market sector organizations in IOTG.
• Provide consulting for customer applications and issue resolution.
• Researching and identifying current and future technology trends.

• Great written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, work cross-organizationally as part of a multi-site team, and provide concise lateral and upward status and communications to coordinate, influence, or raise issues to management and other architecture groups.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Requirements:

– Must have a master degree in Computer Software Engineering, Computer Science Engineering or related field.

– Minimum of 6 months experience with:

• C/C++, Java, Python

• Configuration management and debug

• Linux/Android or Windows development

Preferred Qualifications

– Experience with BIOS, bootloader, drivers.

– Experience with communications protocols HTTP, TCP/UDP, and IP etc.

– Experience with networking protocols Wi-Fi/BT, WWAN, Ethernet etc.

– Virtualization, Linux Containers.

– Experience in developing/integrating open source software.

– Previous Internship experience.
