The Role: Sensus, a Xylem brand, seeks to hire a Software Engineer as a member of the Distribution Automation Software Applications Team. The candidate will architect, design, develop and unit test software applications. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to succeed in a fast paced, fluid environment, while ensuring that project initiatives are met. Requirements:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in a software development related field (Java is Preferred)
• UNIX/Linux experience
  
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of engineers to meet aggressive goals and high quality standards
• Git experience
• Redis experience

It would be awesome if you have experience in:

• CSS3 and HTML5
• Server-side Javascript (Node JS) experience
• Vagrant / Puppet / configuration management
• Mocha test framework
• message oriented systems
