What’s the role?

This individual will apply engineering best practices to analyze, design, develop, deploy and support software solutions, and/or infrastructure implementations/upgrades. You will also develop software and systems under test driven development and continuous integration practices; establish monitoring and automation processes. This is a DevOps environment, which moves between diverse tasks with cooperation and persistence, helping to bring out the best in others. Future efforts include modernizing current technical stack/processes and automation efforts.

  • Experience with engineering best practices to include analyzing, designing, developing, deploying and supporting software solutions, and/or infrastructure implementations/upgrades
  • Looking for someone who can help move the bar forward by challenging current state and future state – be able to articulate why the new solution fits the path forward
  • Possess a technical mindset and attitude, along with a passion for learning new technologies and building on your core knowledge base.
  • Demonstrated understanding of industry standards, technologies, methodologies and best practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Strong sense of ownership and the ability to work with a limited set of requirements
  • Specific technical requirements/platforms will vary, but we are looking for more focus on back-end solutions
  • Desire to work collaboratively on creative solutions, as well as take initiative to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to explain technical solutions to technical and non-technical teams
  • Ability to perform data analysis and management
  • Experience with agile methodologies preferred
  • 2+ years of experience
  • Technical Needs:

    • Experience with Java (Core, WAS, JUnit, Spring)
    • Experience with .NET environments
    • Strong O/S knowledge with Linux/Unix.
    • Familiarity with middleware, networking, and Windows Server O/S.
    • Experience with relational and non-relational DBMS such as (MSSQL, DB2)
    • Experience with CICD tooling including Git, Jenkins, Urbancode, Nexus, TFS and Jira.

  • Bonus

    • Experience with frameworks/technologies such as Maven and/or Gradle.
    • Experience with Docker
