Software Engineer

Design, implement, test, maintain, and document custom computer software, on servers, client machines, and mobile platforms. Assist in maintaining lab facilities for the SNRG group.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or mathematics or physics or an engineering field and two (2) years’ experience in programming in Java and/or C# and either (1) writing web services in Java using JSP and/or (2) writing web services in C# using ASP . NET and/or (3) writing Android Apps in Java. Work history will show a Strong work ethic and ability to learn new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Ideal candidate will have experience with as many of the following areas as possible: (1) C# programming, (2) Java programming, (3) OO design and design patterns, (4) SQL database design and administration, (5) Android programming in Java, (6) iOS App development, (7) ASP . NET or . NET Core applications, (8) MVC applications, (9) Java Servlet development, (10) Visual Studio IDE , (11) Eclipse IDE , (12) Elastic Search development, (13) Redis development, (14) Linux system administration and scripting, (15) Javascript programming, (16) HTML5, (17) CSS , (18) Windows Powershell, (19) Virtualbox/VMWare, (20) Writing large software ( >10K lines), (21) Working in software development teams, (22) GIT , (23) Interfacing with Third-party APIs, (24) Amazon Web Services, (25) Networking and network protocols, (26) Assembly language programming, (27) Interfacing with hardware, (28) The implementation of interpreters and/or compilers, (29) Experience working for or leading startup companies and entrepreneurial ventures.
