Here’s your chance to be a Software Development Intern on the Development team at HCSS in Summer 2018 (with the potential to extend through Fall 2018 and beyond). Here’s what we’re looking for:

• You’re enrolled in an accredited college/university in Houston, TX in both Summer 2018 and Fall 2018. You must not graduate before December 2018.
• You’re cooperative and like to lend a helping hand to others. We have a collaborative culture here at HCSS where teamwork makes the dreamwork!
• You’re detail-oriented, attentive to detail, and is a logical thinker.
• You’re familiar with C# and/or Java, however, we do accept applications with little to no experience.

What will you be primarily doing?:

• Convert an old legacy DB framework in C# to a newer framework
• Understand, debug, and improve existing code libraries
• Work with our technical support team and quality control specialists, troubleshoot customer problems and fix bugs
• Interact with our senior developers and business teams, and develop features that will enhance the software

Here’s what you can expect from this internship:

• You must be able to work at least 12-15 hours a week (can work up to 25 hours during the school semester). We’ll work around your school schedule.
• Depending on your performance of your project(s), you may be given a full-time role upon graduation (and be eligible for ALL of our amazing benefits).
• Training will be provided and you’ll be assigned a mentor throughout the duration of the internship and receive regular feedback to your performance.

• Take and pass our online math/logic assessment.
• HCSS will send you an email within the week after you apply with the test link. Please also check your spam/junk mail folder. You have two tries to pass it. (If you need to practice, be sure to take the practice test in the email sent to you with the actual test link.)
• You will be contacted by a member from the HCSS Talent Acquisition team for a phone interview.
• After the phone screen, you will be invited for an on-site interview (with a verification test).
• If accepted, you will join the HCSS team as our new Intern!
