Within Genoa IT the QA Lead plays an integral role on the the testing team. They will work closely with the development team to ensure software quality and manage application risks throughout the software development life cycle. The role involves creating test strategies, best practices as well as serving as a mentor for other QA team members.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

– Help to understand requirements, develop a test strategy, and guide the testing team work toward the common goal of high quality software solutions

– Actively lead and enhance the test processes to meet quality and business objectives

– Identify and develop solutions for automation opportunities

– Experience defining testing strategies and setting testing best practices

– Mentor, coach, and develop testers

– Educate PM, BA, and developers on successful testing practices

– A strong advocate for quality of product

Key Skills and Requirements:

– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

– Strong planning, coordination, and communication skills both oral and written

– Ability to lead and mentor co-workers

– Enthusiasm for teamwork and collaboration with various roles within Genoa

– Ability to manage through ambiguity and achieve results

– Atlassian JIRA and Confluence experience is a plus
