Software Development Engineer

Amazon Web Services is seeking an experienced Software Developer Engineer for our Training and Certification in AWS business. This team delivers Training and Certification products worldwide. As a SDE, you will build highly scale and extensible software platform using cutting-edge AWS technologies and services. The software delivered by this team will influence a multi-million dollar global.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain internet-scale web applications on AWS, which are heavily focus on RESTful APIs, infrastructure and test automation, and simplicity.
Integrate our systems with core Amazon services for e-commerce, identity, and security, leveraging technologies from one of the largest websites in the world.
Invent new services for global e-commerce and infrastructure projects.
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, and identify opportunities to improve business processes through software automation.
Collaborate on our technology roadmap, turn visions into reality.
Participate in Agile development.

Basic Qualifications

B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field
4+ years of professional experience in software development utilizing modern programming language such as Java, C#, or C++ and proficiency in web technologies, including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, DOM Scripting, JSON, jQuery, AJAX and modern JavaScript Frameworks (Angular, React, Vue and etc…)
4+ years of professional experience in developing and maintaining web APIs.
Solid computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, etc.)
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including Agile development, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Ability to manage small and medium-sized technical projects with minimal supervision.
Record of accomplishment of designing and building highly scalable and complex software systems.
Excellent people skills, ability to work closely and independently with business stakeholders to determine their requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
