Software Developer Training Engineer

Description:
Leidos has an opening for an Software Developer Training Engineer supporting Mission Planning development program in Orlando, FL. Position/Primary Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be energetic, eager to learn and comfortable working in a peer-to-peer environment. Under supervision general responsibilities will include:

Creation of software developer training materials for Joint Mission Planning Systems (JMPS)

Creation of automated graphical use interview (GUI) based tests ensuring proper functionality of the GUI or a given application and making sure it conforms to its written specifications

General software integration activities to bring together the component sub-systems into one system to deliver the overarching functionality; environments will include Windows 7 and above.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Requires U.S. Citizenship and must have the ability of obtaining a DoD Secret Level Security Clearance

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or a closely related field and 2 – 4 years of relevant experience including thorough knowledge of Windows integration.

Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint)

Training/software integration/development and testing experience

Strong knowledge of MS Windows environments

Knowledge of software testing concepts

Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with multiple contractors, government agencies and other mission planning stakeholders to include formal training classes. Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Configuration Management (CM) tools such as Subversion (SVN) or GIT

Some hands on experience with an object oriented programming language (such as Visual Basic, VB.NET, C#, C++, or Java)

Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS)

Some hands on experience with a scripting programming language (VBScript, AutoIT)

Familiarity with Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS)

Knowledge of Virtual Machine environments and their use.

Preferred: Knowledge of Database Management Systems (DBMSs) setup and usage.
