Software Developer Intern

HPE is looking for an outstanding candidate for an internship with HPE! With the dramatic increase of online and cloud services, and shift to storing everything digitally, storage is a large and growing market. A placement with Hewlett Packard Expertise provides a student the opportunity to work in a world class company on the leading edge 3PAR embedded storage platform.

The 3PAR storage solution is a multi-node clustered system with a number of advanced software features to ensure data is rapidly and consistently stored. The 3PAR arrays run on a powerful single software architecture utilizing a custom ASIC. The successful candidates will be based in one of HPE’s Research and Development offices as part of a geographically dispersed team working on cutting-edge data centre technology. In this position you will work as part of a software team to enhance the capabilities of current and future HPE storage platforms.

You will also work with technology partners on integration of new storage features and help to diagnose and troubleshoot issues seen on customer and test systems. Strong academic ability and currently enrolled in a university degree program focused in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering or similar subject Some knowledge of Operating Systems principles Strong written and verbal communication skills Any experience in the following languages is desirable: Assembly code or any other embedded system development C, C# or C++ HDL/VHDL, Verilog Java Scripting languages such as: Bash, Perl, Python Interest in any of the following areas is desirable: Computer architecture Concurrent programming/multi-threading Embedded systems Linux Networks and communications At Hewlett Packard Enterprise, we don’t just believe in the power of technology, we believe in the power of people when technology works for them.
