Job Descriptions:
A Software Developer I is an entry-level position and member of the Application Support team with assigned roles and responsibilities related to the day-to-day activities required to support client implementations/renewals, incidents and service requests, and the maintenance of core business applications.Emphasis is placed on developing technical, business, and leadership expertise, ACT ( A ccuracy, C ustomer Service, T imely Turnaround), and driving improvement in processes, quality, and training.This individual is expected to demonstrate integrity, take initiative, make good decisions, and thrive in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with implementation/renewal configurations and setup.

Provide mentoring, assistance, and core leadership to Technical Analysts.

Level 2 Support: Research, analyze, respond to, and resolve external and internal incidents/requests in a timely manner.Own issue to resolution.

Become a subject-matter expert related to client implementation/renewal processes, vendor file interfaces, and associated systems/applications within area of responsibility.

Manage, prioritize, work, and update open service tickets and implementation/renewals tasks.

Identify improvement opportunities and assist with develop/implementation of the solutions.

Successfully complete complex coding assignments following established coding standards.Participate in design/code reviews. Design, prepare and execute unit tests.

Competently document applications, data structures, and processes.

Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Required Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in computer-related discipline and/or 2 years’ equivalent experience in IS/IT or in the healthcare industry.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the following developer languages

Microsoft .NET (C# preferred)

SQL (Transact SQL preferred)

Relational Databases (SQL Server preferred)

Object Relational Mapper (ORM) (Entity Framework preferred)

Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 or above (server and desktop).

Excellent problem solving, analysis, verbal, and written communication skills.

Experience with a project management methodology and writing effective documentation.

Ability to work efficiently, multi-task, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.

Ability to work as part of a team and maintain positive and productive working relationships.

Adhere to company values, policies and standard operating procedures. Regular, reliable attendance is required.

This position will be responsible for participating as a technical resource in design development, coding, testing, and debugging new software or significant enhancements to existing software. Able to work with other technical staff to understand problems with software and to develop specifications to resolve them. A developer works directly with the business and other IS Teams to ensure that technical solutions are put in place to serve these communication objectives, and that these solutions are aligned with established strategic goals and policies.

What you’ll do: Monitor, troubleshoot and correct system issues in a timely manner Utilize industry specific utilities to ensure applications are performing at optimal levels Develop detailed specifications and code programs from specifications Create change control / installation packages and project documentation Employees are expected to meet or exceed the attendance and timeliness requirements of their departments. Employees are expected to work well in a team environment, and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, departments, and customers.

To be considered for this position, you must have: Bachelors Degree is required in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience 1 or more years of formal software development experience / internship with emphasis on Microsoft Development tools or relevant informal development experience using Microsoft Development tools coupled with 2+ years of IT experience (other than development) Experience using Visual Studio .NET and the .NET framework 1+ years of SQL development experience

The strongest candidates for this position will also possess: Previous experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum and/or Kan-Ban) strongly recommended Previous healthcare/health insurance experience strongly recommended
