Software Developer (Full Stack)

:

You will be responsible for architecting an ambitious and exciting mobile to web enabled kiosk platform for communication, with the NAGRA Innovation Team in Phoenix. Initial tasks will include architecture, technology selection, and basic implementation of the web service framework, iterating the architecture and driving the architecture to deployment.

Some of the architecting tasks include: full stack technology selection, web service API guidelines, Amazon Web Services (AWS), database integration plan, performance/scaling plan, QA strategy and deployment plan. Staff may be added to help implement the architecture, design and manage the databases and handle some of the devOps. This position will become very hands-on after the planning phase.

The system is unlike anything currently on the market. It will need to support PC, mobile and web client applications. Expect unique and interesting challenges, especially if you are a big media buff.

Requirement

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 3-5 years’ experience with web service/application development
• Knowledge of AWS Services and Products
• Experience with large-scale data caching and persistence solutions
• Experience scaling and iterating web services according to changing demands
• Experience architecting a modular web service deployed in a multi-server environment
• Experience developing and architecting applications using PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby, Java (JEE) and other open source languages
• Experience with multiple full application frameworks AWS Code, Ruby on Rails, Django, node.js
• Very comfortable in a Linux environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to learn and adapt in a rapidly changing environment

Desired

• Experience with small board computing, computer on modules (Raspberry Pi Compute)
