Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with UX leads, designers, system architects, developers and quality assurance to develop user interface solutions that best meet business objectives
• Develop and document coding standards, style guideline and lead training efforts
• Provide directions to promote UX best practices to improve design, interaction and functionality for existing web applications and new projects

Minimum Skills and Competencies:

• Expert knowledge and passion for JavaScript and modern UI development using frameworks like ReactJS, Vue, Angular, Node, Meteor, etc.
• Expert knowledge of design frameworks like Twitter Bootstrap, ZURB Foundation, PURE or similar frameworks for responsive web development
• Experience with HTML5 hybrid mobile app development framework like Ionic, Onsen, Framework7, PhoneGap, etc.
• Expert knowledge of website optimization best practices
• Experience developing accessible websites (Section 508, W3C WAI Guidelines, etc.) is desirable
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite with primary focus on Photoshop and Illustrator
• Familiarity with enterprise level software development practices (agile methodology, sprints, version control systems, issue tracking tools, local build environments)
• Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish working relationships with individuals at varying levels within the organization
• Demonstrated integrity within a professional environment
• Ability to adapt to new situations and learn quickly
• Must perform well in high-energy, dynamic and team-oriented environments
• Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills:

• Insurance industry experience
• Knowledge of .NET MVC is desirable
