Works as a Developer/Analyst I as part of a team to provide excellent service, data handling resources and software products. Our development team significantly utilizes Python/Django, JavaScript, and REST, though tools vary, and operates in an environment that includes Agile/SCRUM, DevOps, and continuous integration.

Job Requirements

Required Education: Bachelor Degree OR an equivalent combination of education/job related experience AND:

024 mo web application development

Skills:

Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty and staff
Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives

Certifications:

None

Advertised Physical Requirements:

Must be able to engage in repetitive motions and communicate. Remain for extended periods in front of computer monitor using a keyboard. Lift up to 15 lbs.

Departmental Preferences:

6+ months experience in developing databasebacked web applications
Solid understanding of MVC architectural pattern
Experience with code versioning and continuous integration
Familiarity with DevOps and SCRUM
Ability and willingness to escalate issues to the right persons at the right times
