This position is in Colorado, candidate must reside in Colorado or plan to reside in Colorado.

General Description:

The primary role of the Software Developer is to develop and maintain custom business software using the Microsoft ecosystem of development tools, languages, and platforms including C#, .NET, IIS, and SQL Server along with industry standard technologies and languages such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML. You will maintain and develop applications utilized throughout our company’s business.

Candidate must be a self-starter comfortable working in a small group or alone to satisfy end user requirements. Strong organizational skills and the ability to implement and adhere to good processes are essential.

Duties and Responsibilities

You will:

· Develop, test, maintain, and support custom applications for production.Our company’s business will depend on the work that you do.

· Pragmatically modernize the company’s tool chain and build environment to use the latest tools and technologies.

· Implement unit test and automated test capabilities to improve the quality of existing applications.

· Be a point of contact for feature requests, bug fixes, and for instruction of non-technical staff needing support using the applications you are responsible for.

· Take direction from and work with the Director of IT to set priorities for application development and maintenance.

· Set and follow development best practices, including good software authoring, bug fixing workflow, utilizing an industry standard source code versioning system (GitHub), satisfactorily documenting the software and development environment, and communicating development status in a transparent manner.

· Working with the Director of IT and other senior management, create feature roadmap and release/hotfix schedules for the organization.

· Train and instruct end users how to use the software that you are responsible for.

· Interface with end users from a variety of business roles including Billing, Customer Service, and Executive Management

· Learn new applications and technologies, as our business grows and expands.

The Candidate Must have the following Knowledge and Abilities:

· Strong C#, .NET, JavaScript, SQL skills.

· Understanding of MS-SQL database structures and development.

· Strong problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication and people skills.

· Positive attitude.

Additional Knowledge Considered a Plus:

· Experience with 3rd party Logistics applications, especially WMS and TMS.

· Experience with SSRS or Crystal Reports, or other report generation software.

· Experience developing applications for use

Education and Experience:

· 5-10 Years of development experience.

· College degree in related field or equivalent experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
