Position Summary

SURVICE Engineering seeks a Software Developer to support our Air Force SEEK EAGLE Office (AFSEO) Modeling, Analysis, and Tools (SEMATS) contract at Eglin AFB. The Software Engineer will be responsible for analysis, design, development, documentation, and maintenance of mission planning software and tools that support the warfighter. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills that will work collaboratively on an Agile software development team.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborates with other software developers to analyze, estimate, design, and implement features
• Participates in iteration planning meetings, daily stand ups, and technical coordination meetings for reporting issues, planning, and providing status
• Works with subject matter experts and project managers in analyzing new functional requirements while providing feasibility assessments and level of effort
• Follows team’s software development process and procedures
• Peer reviews fellow software developer’s code and documentation to ensure it meets team’s quality standards and best practices
• Works with software architectural owners to ensure all development meets architectural vision and system designs
• Works with lead software engineer and senior developers in deriving technical requirements from functional requirements
• Contributes to technical design documentation and maintenance of the software

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field and a minimum of 1+ year(s) of software application development with the Microsoft .NET framework

• Ideally seeking 2-5 + year(s) experience developing with the Microsoft .NET Framework, will consider junior level candidates as well
• Proficient in an object oriented programming language such as C# or C++
• Experience in working on a software development team within a software development process
• Solid coding practices including design, unit testing, and code peer reviews
