Software Developer

Applied Engineering, Inc. is accepting applications for a Software Developer in the Bismarck or Fargo, ND, or Brooklyn Park, MN area. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of customers to understand their business needs and make recommendations for the development of effective software application solutions. You will be responsible for the analysis and development (designing, coding, and testing) of custom applications, as well as documenting systems and applications.

Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field or equivalent work experience, or industry recognized certification such as MCSD
• 2 + years of software development experience
• Preferred experience: Microsoft Silverlight (design, development, maintenance and support)
• Experience with any of the following development languages or platforms: .NET (C#, VB, ASP), JavaScript, MVC Framework, Entity Framework, NHibernate, SQL, Angular, CSS, HTML
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle
• Knowledge and practical application of software development methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and Feature Driven development
• Knowledge and practical application of object-oriented modeling, design, and development
• Relational database experience preferred: SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, effective oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
