Software Developer

Girosol is a money transfer company that knows the needs of the immigrant community in the United States. We understand our clients’ dedication, hard work, and the financial help they provide to their families for staples, schooling, and living expenses in their home countries.

Girosol Corp., is seeking a Software Developer for a contract-to-Hire position to assist in the development of our current projects. Your duties will primarily revolve around designing and coding various new and existing software modules.

To be successful in this role, you will need knowledge of VB.NET programming languages and the software development life-cycle. A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree is required.

Responsibilities:

• Modifying software to accommodate new database tables.
• Design graphical user interfaces.
• Ensures application development processes are consistent with software development life-cycle best practices.
• Prepare project activities reports.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related degree.
• 2+ years’ experience in VB .NET. Programming.
• Knowledge of the software development life-cycle.
• Must have a proven track record in one or more of the following areas:

• Web Technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, etc.
• C# or JAVA
• Android Development
• iOS Development * Experience with Btrieve transactional DataBase is preferred.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting
• The desire to work in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently towards set goals.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish).
