Software Certification & Test Engineer

Job Description

The Connectivity Validation Division within Wireless Connectivity Solution WCS group is looking for a highly motivated Software Certification and Test Engineer with extensive wireless knowledge to excel at test activities for Intel’s wireless connectivity product Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. In this position, you will be responsible for developing, automating, and executing comprehensive test plans and industry certification for wireless drivers and features to ensure product quality as well as demonstrate product differentiation. This also includes the design, development, and implementation of automation related to testing various aspects of the product including functional, performance, stability, interoperability, and conformance to industry standards. Additional duties include debugging, fault isolation, and bug reporting. You will work closely with system engineers, software development engineers, and application engineers to determine root causes of failures, recommend corrective action, understand the specifics of the product, industry standards and customer requirements and usage models to develop in-depth integration and validation test plans. Direct interaction with customers and ecosystem partners will also be required.

Qualifications

A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or higher prefer Electrical, Computer, Software Engineering, or any related field At least 4+ years of experience in software engineering, integration, testing or certification engineering.Any experience in wireless technology, especially Wi-Fi/BT Experience with Windows OS internals & test.Strong attention to detail, strong technical focus with the ability to learn quickly and act with urgency. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to effectively handle difficult technical issues and critical partner communicationsExperience with any of the following languages C, C/C++, VB, JAVA, or Python/Perl.Any of the following qualifications are not required but would be considered added advantages: Experience with developing test automation and tools Experience with use case testing Inside this Business Group
