Software Application Developer

As an application developer at Kultera Inc., you will build powerful applications using the Microsoft Development tools, including Visual Studio and Visual studio on-line. The applicant must have an understanding of the Agile Development Methodology, and the tools associated with it. The applicant must be able to participate in a collaborative team approach, as well as being a self-starter.

What are the job responsibilities:

• Participate in gathering requirements and implementing development of web based, mobile and WPF applications. This includes user interface, REST Web Services and Microsoft SQL Server business objects.
• Embrace agile development philosophy for all phases of: requirement gathering, design, develop, testing and release.
• Collaborate with other development team members and Users.

What skills are required:

• BS in Computer Science or related field.
• 1-2 years of professional web development experience.
• 1-2 years with ASP.NET and C# (Web and WPF apps).
• 1-2 years experience in Microsoft Visual Studio and Visual Studio Online.
• Well versed in Javascript.
• Proficiency with SQL Server TSQL and stored procedure development.
• Experience with Agile development methodology would be excellent but not required.
• Experience with developing and consuming REST services is a plus.
• Strong analytical abilities, organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Should be a quick learner and self-motivated.
• Ability to work independently in a self-directed manner and collaboratively with team members (in person and remote).
• Excellent time management skills. Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
• Excited to learn new technologies (open and closed source).
