About PracticePro:

Founded in 2013, PracticePro is a San Francisco-based legal education startup. Through training, coaching, and a technology arm under development, we strive to change the way new lawyers learn to practice law and make transitioning to practice easier for everyone involved.

Job Description:

The Social Media Strategist will be responsible for defining and executing a social media strategy and campaigns for PracticePro. The Strategist will mostly work independently but will collaborate with other PracticePro team members to stay updated with the company’s current events and be able to publicize them to our online community in a creative and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

• Manage social media accounts (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram), including keeping our communities updated on important legal news and topics of interest to lawyers, law students, and law firms
• Creating content to highlight our Diversity Scholars and law firm partners
• Provide content daily while tracking metrics and relevant conversations
• Identify social media influencers
• Engaging our community of law students and young lawyers

Education, Experience, and Skills:

• At least 2 years of college, preferably in marketing, communications, advertising, or other relevant field
• At least 1 year of experience in social media management
• Excellent academic credentials, including strong verbal and writing communication skills
• High interest in following legal news and issues that affect our market sectors (law students, lawyers, law firms, and law schools)
• Strong work ethic and drive to push projects further than expected
• Ability to run multiple projects at a time and meet tight deadlines
• Familiarity with Hootsuite or other social media management tool

Preferred but not required:

• Pre-law, law student, attorney, or otherwise familiar or interested to learn about the legal profession and legal education
• Bachelor’s in the above-mentioned fields

Compensation: Hourly

Job Type: Part-time (5-10 hours/week)
