Job Description

As a Corporate Social Media Program Lead, you will define and execute the social media strategy and plan for Micron. You will execute these responsibilities by creating a high level of awareness and preference for the company, our brand essence, and our products. This role leads social media within Micron’s Global Communication and Marketing (GCM) organization, overseeing the social program while partnering closely with internal stakeholders. You will be expected to define, implement and manage social media strategies across Micron (externally and internally); monitor Micron’s presence online, and put key processes in place to mitigate risk and help portray a positive brand in the marketplace.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Define strategy and plan: determine goals, direction, scope and deliverables in support of business priorities and GCM direction. Collaborate with business stakeholders and GCM team, especially digital marketing and web leads.

Assess and optimize resources needed to achieve program goals, working within set budget and organization set-up. Establish metrics, track milestones and deliverables.

Build and Implement a social media infrastructure and operating model at Micron. Work with key stakeholders to develop processes for reviewing, posting and responding to social media and on which platforms. Define requirements, recommend selection, implementation and management of social media monitoring tools/agencies

Develop corporate-wide Strategy and Processes for Monitoring and Responding to Social Media crisis. Provide both proactive and reactive action plans to protect Micron’s brands. Define, interpret and analyze data from social networks to ensure a positive brand in the marketplace.

Develop social networking training plans and governances for Micron team members for company-owned and employee-owned accounts. Serve as a SME for social media for the company – offering advice and guidance to others.

Qualifications:
10 years of experience in Global Corporate Communication or related marketing functions; preferably for another Fortune 500 firm

Demonstrated success in the development of marketing and communication strategies using digital marketing and/or social media as a platform.

Self-starter with ability to think strategically and deploy tactically, able to “connect the dots” across the business.

Proven ability to influence professionals and senior leaders and to navigate complex and political landscapes.

A proven ability to partner with global stakeholders and other functions in a highly matrixed organization.

Strong desire to drive improvement, not settle for status quo.

Excellent written and verbal business communication skills.

A background in project and program management.

Steadfastly pushes self and others for results.

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.

Knowledge of IT and semiconductor industry is a plus

Education:
MBA, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in communications, marketing, PR, digital marketing, social media or related feields
