Social Media Marketing Associate

Primary responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and publish the monthly content calendar based on objectives and strategies set forth by the marketing organization and the Director, eCommerce & Digital Marketing.
  • Create original, innovative, high quality visual and written content to ensure optimized presence on social media platforms, which currently include Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, YouTube and our blog.
  • Build and manage online communities, with ability to acquire, retain and engage audiences – this includes responding to and engaging with the social community as well as redirecting customer complaints and inquiries to Customer Care.
  • Responsible for delivering eCommerce revenue through paid, earned, and owned social and content marketing initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing social media reporting and insights that will enable the digital team to refine the social media strategy and tactics as necessary.
  • Monitor and report on emerging social trends, best practices, and new social features and leverage these findings into the development and execution of new ideas and innovations.
  • Work directly with account managers at key social platforms to learn about new features and functionalities.
  • Partner with PR agency to plan and execute dynamic and engaging social media strategies for brand events.
  • Benchmark and monitor competitor and industry leaders in social media to apply best practices, leapfrog initiatives, and improve the overall social-media strategy.
  • Source brand marketing assets for digital channels, optimizing based on digital trends and consumer insights.
  • Ensure all social communication meets brand guidelines, standards and tone.
  • Interpret and develop Tata Harper Skincare’s existing brand for digital, bringing the brand to life online in a way that is consistent with all of our other consumer touch points (product, packaging, etc.) as well as our brand mood boards and references.
  • Work closely with our Creative Director and Design Team to determine visual design and conceptual directions.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Preferred: BS/BA in Digital Media, Communication, or related degree.
  • Adobe Photoshop and photography / video editing experience.
  • Ability and experience working in a deadline driven, production-based, fast paced environment.
  • Strong project management skills including: conceptualization, planning, managing deadlines and objectives.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Exceptional visual storytelling skills.
  • Knowledge of emerging web technologies and new media market trends with a passion for experimenting in new media.
  • Fluency in relevant digital and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Snapchat, WordPress, live video)
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and hungry for career development.
  • Strong organizational skills.
