Social Media & Digital Content Specialist

Scope:

This is a digital marketing position with emphasis in and responsibility for Social Media, content marketing, and online reputation management. You will be the in-house strategic and tactical expert for these types of digital efforts, supporting and collaborating with the rest of the Marketing Team, Sales Team, and Tasting Room Leadership Team. As Social Media & Digital Content Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for building social media and content marketing programs and engaging on a daily basis with our consumers, our employees, and our distribution and Retail partners in creative and effective ways, while strengthening and expanding Cigar City Brewing’s brand and reach.

This person must be a Content Creator, Market Analyst, Communication Master, Customer Service Expert, and Brand Ambassador.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Build, Grow, and Manage Cigar City Brewing’s digital, social, and traditional media presence
• Create Content for multiple digital platforms and social media outlets
• Management of all Social Media platform profiles and assets
• Assist in conceptualizing, executing, measuring, and analyzing digital media campaigns
• Generate in-house photography and video for social media, website, and external needs
• Compose accurate, eloquent and grammatically correct social media content and informational posts
• Maintain the constant voice of Cigar City Brewing across all content
• Write press releases for pertinent events and beer releases when needed
• Photograph all major brewery events
• Provide Media outreach and inbound media requests when needed
• Manage online beer review websites
• Create design work in Adobe Cloud as delegated
• Assist with events and in the Market as needed
• All other tasks or duties as assigned by management

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, English or a Related Field is Preferred

Technical Skills and Prior Experience:

• 1-3 years in an agency or in-house running social media profiles or marketing campaigns on a daily basis preferred
• Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Creative Suite
• Ability to generate and edit creative photo and video content
• Ability to work independently, think creatively, meet deadlines, and achieve goals
• Use creativity, data, and intuition to develop media strategies
• Experience with Google Analytics and social media analytics tools
• A love for great beer and a basic understanding of beer production and styles
• Cicerone Level 1 Certified Beer Server required within 90 days of hire
