Showroom Consultant – Our Director of First Impressions!

As a Showroom Consultant, you will be the first impression that a client has with our company; by phone, online or walk-in. You will be responsible for helping our customers with all their Hearth, Patio and flooring needs. You will be responsible for qualifying customers, educating them on our solutions, selling Gas Logs, Glass Doors, Grills, Flooring & all cash-n-carry products that we have to offer.

The overarching goal for this role will be to “_ *_Sell the Preview”* on any large job that must be measured or specified . Specifically, you will qualify them by walking them through the Design Audit process until you decide what the perfect solution for them may be. If you find that they are qualified and motivated enough to purchase a custom solution, you will make your handoff to the Design Consultant. If you find that the solution for the customer is something that they can “cash-n-carry” or be sold without an onsite consultation, you will finish the sales process & close the deal. You’ll take a customer-centric approach to our prospects and customers, and create a “wow experience” so unique that they can’t help but talk about our company…..think Ritz Carlton.

Contribute to the team by achieving individual goals. On a daily basis, you’ll work with customers, leadership, and the Design Consultants to ensure that all clients are being serviced properly and up to our company’s standards. You will essentially run the showrooms, taking full ownership over the image, vibe and mood of the environment. You will ensure that every customer is promptly greeted & helped whether they come to us via walk-in, phone or internet lead.

Duties include, but not limited to:

Amazing Customer Support

  • Being a champion of our companies “Language” & Internal processes
  • Scheduling previews & follow ups
  • Qualifying all inbound leads, entering into Hubspot & handing off
  • Facilitating warranties
  • Handling customer complaints
  • Being an expert on our product lines & service offerings
  • Obtaining customer testimonials & referrals

Maintaining our showrooms to an impeccable standard

  • Managing an inviting & positive mood within the showroom
  • Maintain store hours
  • Everything properly priced on the displays
  • Functional, neat & orderly displays
  • Samples stocked & ready
  • Sales Collateral stocked & ready
  • All sales contracts organized and cataloged by month
  • Manage our Sale/ Promotion calendar

Active Selling & Prospecting

  • Proactively Sourcing Leads
  • In-Store Product Demonstrations & Consultations
  • Qualifying & selling service calls (policies change seasonally)
  • Sales;
  • Flooring (to existing clients, or jobs that we can easily close by sending an installer to measure)
  • Gas logs
  • glass doors
  • grills, fire pits & grilling areas that don’t need previews
  • chimneys, caps, pans & shrouds
  • accessories & fireplace sundries

The Requirements

To be a good fit for the Sales Showroom Consultant role, you should have: sales experience, an outgoing personality, a strong desire to succeed, and a demonstrated ability to: Build relationships and provide outstanding customer service. Deliver a sales plan; follow-up on in-house leads; prospect for new business. Convert prospects and close deals while meeting and exceed sales goals. Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques. Construction industry experience is a plus. Interior design experience is a plus. Skill and experience using software, such as MS Office Suite applications (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and/or CRM software. A valid driver’s license.
