We currently have a Senior Web Developer position available at our global headquarters in Boise, ID.

SUMMARY

Within the Global Sales and Digital Marketing team, we have a vacancy for a Senior Web Developer based in Boise, ID. Working collaboratively within the cross functional team and business stakeholders, the role is responsible for all facets of technical development across mobile apps, websites, API’s and digital content management systems, overseeing software development practices, frameworks, code and scoping of deliverables.

This particular role will have a strong focus on Java – working on an eCommerce application called SAP Hybris. While SAP Hybris experience is preferred, strong java experience is essential and Simplot will provide an appropriate training path to upskill in the SAP Hybris platform.

It requires working collaboratively within an Agile and DevOps team in building continuous delivery, ensuring high quality solutions and support.

RESPONSIBILITIESContributing to all phases of solution delivery, including scoping, analysis, design, development, documentation, testing and implementationEnsuring all software and code development is delivered within agreed delivery cycles, according to defined user stories and acceptance criteriaLeading a culture for quality through software testing, code reviews, and documentationDriving a continuous improvement culture through effective knowledge sharing, fostering innovation, emphasizing lean and agile practices to improve overall delivery capabilitiesCollaborating with solution architects and IT partners to ensure code meets defined development standards within agreed frameworksCollaborating with external resources to ensure solutions are designed, developed and integrated into defined methodologies, development practices and standardsDeveloping and maintaining relevant repositories for all deliverables including source code, designs and supporting documentationKeeping abreast of emerging methodologies, development practices and technology trends; presenting recommendations to relevant leadership groups and peers across the organization

REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s Degree from 4-year college or university, in any field8+ years of experience in software development focusing on content management systems (CMS) and web applicationsExpert knowledge of Java essentialSAP Hybris eCommerce development experience is a plusSound knowledge/understanding of eCommerce Applications and Content Management systems with an emphasis on Test Driven Development (TDD)Experience with T-SQL and relational database designAbility or Willingness to work with multiple programming languagesProficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GitKnowledge of Azure or other cloud technologies preferredFamiliar with various design and architectural patternsFamiliarity with continuous integrationDevelopment of mobile applications, web services, or eCommerce platforms a plusNoSQL development with MongoDB and/or Cosmos DB is a plusRelevant Agile and Lean certifications would be beneficialCombination of education, training and/or experience will be considered for this position
