        Responsibilities:
        This position is responsible for analyzing, designing, and developing highly engaging and learning solutions in a rapid and agile environment. We are looking for a professional Senior Training Designer to design and develop learning and create online learning modules and live web-based training sessions, as well as instructor-led training guides, and supporting materials following an instructional design process. The Senior Training Design Specialist will use strong interpersonal, written, and visual communication skills to bring together text, images, video and audio to communicate and educate our clients’ employees, members, customers, and other stakeholders. There is also an opportunity for this role to conduct live training sessions, as well as virtual sessions.

        MAIN DUTIES/FUNCTIONS:

        This role will:

        • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer
        • Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs
        • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
        • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
        • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
        • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
        • Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
        • Decide on the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments
        • Outline the concept for a course or curriculum, defining (needs for) the course medium,
        • content delivery, assessments, accompanying materials, and complementary learning
        • approaches.
        • Use PowerPoint to draft screen layouts, graphics and interactions appropriate to the
        • Content and write the audio script for each course and work with subject matter expert and voice
        • talent to ensure proper pronunciation and style.
        • Design quizzes and meaningful course interactions to increase learning and retention.
        • Maintain project documentation and course folders
        • Conduct live training sessions as well as virtual on line sessions
        • Consult with managers, leaders and partners to design and develop new learning content and programs for our employees
        • Write strong assessments to measure the effectiveness of learning programs and evaluate their impact on service quality and the customer experience
        • Collaborate with peers on adoption, standards, and normalization of new and innovative learning modalities

        Qualifications:
        Required Qualifications:

        • BS or MA degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar
        • Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
        • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
        • Lesson and curriculum planning skills
        • Three to five years of course design experience, online learning, and will need to be skilled in learning management system software
        • Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge
        • Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard
        • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts
        • Strong interpersonal skills in both client interactions and team interactions and a
        • willingness to interact with clients on a regular basis
        • Microsoft PowerPoint: basic text formatting, tables, master layouts, text and title
        • placeholders, entering slide notes; ability to use graphic design features to create screen
        • layouts
        • Project Management experience preferred and able to work through ambiguity
        • Familiarity with web design, online learning management systems and the ability to create online curricula
        • Manage workload, meeting deadlines with minimal direction and supervision.
        • Uses judgment to make decisions by identifying issues, diagnosing problems, generating alternative solutions, and analyzing opportunities and risks.
        • Strong professional impact and presence, including the ability to positively influence others.
        • Strong verbal/written communication skills including ability to adjust style and message based on audience.

        Preferred Qualifications:

        • Experience with Taleo/ another LMS
        • Instructional Design experience
        • Training experience

        Education:
        Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred.
