Senior Technical Project Manager

A little about the position:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Senior Technical Project Manager to join our project management discipline. The candidate should have a strong digital background and a track record of effectiveness on large-scale projects and teams. The Senior Technical Project Manager will oversee account operations and production standards, and cultivate and maintain strong relationships with creative and engineers. The ideal candidate is highly organized and driven to facilitate and manage best-in-industry interactive content and experiences.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversees resource allocation and forecasting
  • Oversight of interactive project development, process and resource management, and participation in strategic development of projects
  • Maintain a respectful and strong working relationship with internal team(s) (from production to content management to developers to the creatives on a project) as well as external partners and development vendors
  • Focus on efficiency and financial profitability of projects
  • Manage projects including sites and microsites, social media initiatives, banners, mobile experiences (native apps as well as mobile web across multiple platforms), digital OOH, and more
  • Accountable for project planning and scope (goals, budget, schedule)
  • Participates in meetings with Clients
  • Possesses and teaches technical knowledge of the production processes in both digital and traditional media, and can communicate with vendors proficiently
  • Manages job through completion, reconciles budgets, and closes out elements in storage

The ideal candidate has:

  • Must have 4 – 6 years of experience and be capable of leading large-scale integrated and interactive projects and teams on national accounts. Award recognition a plus.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Agile project management, the Agile life cycle and Agile practices in use, and the information flow required including the metrics and data points used in feedback loops
  • Experience managing resource allocations for multi-discipline teams
  • Highly organized approach to scheduling, forecasting, and managing vendors
  • Experience coordinating with technology teams, technical producers, and co-managing schedules
  • Experience coordinating content production, video, photo shoots with intimidate working knowledge of production stages and understanding of budgetary needs
  • Must have intimate understanding and working knowledge of proprietary enterprise and open-source web technologies such as HTML5/CSS, Javascript, PHP, Java, MySql
  • Understanding of modern web API’s (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Google Analytics)
  • Have an understanding of the capabilities and limitations of graphics programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Candidate should be proficient with project management programs such as Liquid Planner and Basecamp
  • Some background or fundamental understanding in programming or reviewing code
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Able to juggle multiple projects and clients
  • Should have a desire to create the best interactive experiences in the world
