Senior Systems Analyst – ITS 4

As the Senior Systems Analyst, you will provide analysis and design for development and maintenance for the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS). This will include developing maintainable software and documentation, comprehensively testing programming and procedural changes, and mentoring other technical specialists in analysis and software best practices. This position offers the opportunity to directly impact the lives of some of our most vulnerable citizens, through ensuring that the system is maintained and operates consistently so that medical claims and bills can be processed.

Note: This position is temporary and includes full state fringe benefits; it is anticipated to last up to three (3) years.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must clearly demonstrate all of the following qualifications in their resume:

Position requires a minimum of four (4) years of IT related experience. Experience must include systems analysis on mainframe platforms, specifically using COBOL.
Experience utilizing a combination of the following: CICS, TSO, JCL, DB2, VSAM, PANVALET and/or IBM mainframe computing.

A Master’s degree in Information Technology or a related field substitutes for three years of experience, OR a related Bachelor’s degree substitutes for two years, OR a related Associate’s substitutes for one year.

**Successful candidate must pass past-employer reference checks and a criminal history verification**

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with or knowledge of MMIS.
Experience working with medical claims and eligibility software on a large scale.
Experience with CICS, MQ Series and DB2.
