What you’ll do

Zoomi’s platform is deployed in the Amazon Cloud (AWS). This position is for a Software Engineer to join the Zoomi Platform team, which is responsible for data collection, analysis, storage, and retrieval (database). This is an opportunity for the right candidate to contribute and learn in a fun, fast moving environment.

Responsibilities:

• Help to design and develop Zoomi’s data pipeline and middleware layers.

• Participate in SCRUM/Agile standups and grooming, including helping to estimate resource requirements.

• Adhere to good coding, documentation, and test practices as defined by Zoomi’s engineering guidelines.

• As a member of the platform team, collaborate with other Zoomi engineering teams and help with knowledge transfer and expertise.

What your resume should have:

• 5+ years of experience with OO programming languages

• 3+ years of experience with Python

• 3+ years Linux experience

• Relational database experience

You’ll have a big leg up if:

• You have worked in an environment that deployed to distributed platforms and utilizes big data solutions

• You are familiar with one or more of following Python frameworks and modules: SQLAlchemy, Django, Django Rest Framework, Tornado, Boto3, Falcon

• You have a strong working knowledge of SQL

• You have extensive experience working with and understanding relational and document oriented databases

• You have experience working Amazon Web Services
