NeoTek Energy is a young company positioned to revolutionize how Oil and Gas companies

exploit their reservoir assets. We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Software

Developer with experience in the Microsoft Visual Studio C# and/or F# development

environments to be a key player on a small, growing team that is building innovative, new

products.

The Senior Developer will be a contributor on our real-time data collection, analysis, and

visualization software development team working on challenging problems in the oil and gas

production domain. The candidate must be passionate about software engineering, and

skilled in software architecture fundamentals and modern development practices, including

object oriented design, design patterns, and automated testing.

What will I be responsible for?

_________________________________________________________________________

1. Performing a key role on a small, growing team that is building innovative products for

data collection, analysis, and visualization software

2. Driving strategic technical architecture, designing and developing leveraging current and

emerging technologies in the areas of graphical data representation, UI, database storage

and management, and real-time data processing/analytics

3. Gathering and analyzing project requirements and translating them into functional and

design specifications and programming deliverables

4. Coding and testing software in accordance to design specifications and standards

5. Working on the design, development, testing, deployment, quality assurance, and

technical support of a suite of products and solutions built on Microsoft .NET Framework

for web and mobile solutions

6. Planning for feature development that includes feature analysis, system tradeoffs, and

task breakdown/estimation

7. Implementing new processes or improving existing ones, and providing support in

validation of technical level of effort

8. Advocating and adhering to the software development’s best practices

9. Providing technical leadership, architectural oversight, and serving as a mentor to less

experienced software developers, helping them become more efficient in their roles

What skills/experience do I need to be considered?

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math or Physics

2. 5+ years of experience:
 Professional software development of large scale systems

 Applying OOAD principles, software architecture fundamentals, and design

patterns

 Using UML to construct design specifications (static models, activity diagrams, and

sequence diagrams)

 Working in the Microsoft Visual Studio C# and .NET 4.6 development

environments

 Developing full-featured GUIs, and knowledge of GUI design fundamentals

 Working with HTML5 and CSS3, web design, AngularJS, and RESTful web

services

 Building applications and programs with Microsoft SQL Server or other relational

databases

 Scripting languages such as TypeScript or JavaScript

3. Demonstrated success in shipping at least two products using the .NET Framework 4.0 or

greater

4. Strong technical leadership, analytical, numerical and problem solving skills

5. Deep background in all aspects of software engineering and development lifecycle that

balances agility with discipline

6. Strong verbal and written communication and documentation skills, with a keen attention

to detail

7. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional engineering team to achieve a

common goal, prioritize and complete multiple tasks concurrently, and execute and deliver

to meet commitments
