Senior Software Developer in Test (SDET)

Our Portland-area Quality Assurance team currently has an opening for a Senior Software Engineer in Test to help test solutions designed to deliver access to healthcare information for their customers. This is a highly collaborative and technical savvy team that is known for delivering numerous successful products through their industry leading e-commerce platform. The Senior Software Engineer in Test will be the primary point-of-contact to test internal and external-facing products and applications including web applications and web and micros services. Bring your in-depth infrastructure-component development experience to a team that is passionate about clean code and a solid reputation for delivering quality healthcare information while pushing the technology envelope.

Experience required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Technology or a total of a minimum of five years of experience in information technology

Five or more years of software development experience with two or more of those years focused solely on developing test automation solutions

Demonstrated knowledge of how to develop test scripts utilizing Java

Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools

Experience testing distributed n-tier applications

Ability and experience in one or more of the following

Selenium and/or Watir, SOAP UI

Javascript, HTML5,CSS3,HTTP,REST,MVC

Mocha, Jasmine etc

RDBMS, stored procedures, SQL

Java or Javascript

Jenkins, Grunt

Familiar with command line tools on at least one of Windows (Power shell) or Linux (Shell scripting)

Good knowledge of working with at least one Source control system – Git, Stash, SVN etc.

Preferred Qualifications (not required, but nice to have)

Remote and Off-shore Team project coordination experience

Scripting experience utilizing

Python (preferred), Shell and/or Groovy

(shell, groovy, python preferred)

Understanding of Web/Rest services and good knowledge of Web-server environments

IIS, Tomcat, Apache

This is a full-time, contract position based in the Portland area.
