Senior Software Architect

POSITION SUMMARY:

Serve as technology leader in enterprise information systems design, integration and implementation.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the architecture, development and implementation of integrated software information systems and related hardware infrastructure.

Maintain currency of knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or software systems.

Anticipate on technological evolutions, build durable architectures, and ensure the technical directions and choices.

Lead software development design choices including platforms, coding and technical levels.

Manage the full life cycle of software development projects, monitoring research, reviewing codes and supervising any testing.

Ensure that all development practices are in compliance with best practices policies and procedures.

Advise VP-CIO on new industry and technology trends to improve business processes and maintain redundancy for mission critical applications and services.

Collaborate with stakeholder teams to ensure designs conform to best-in-class architecture and business standards.

Ensure the design and development of robust and scalable solutions to support the business needs processes.

Identify critical path decisions, make recommendations, and influence business process owners to maximize project value.

Participate in the preparation of long-range systems plans and assure that they are in concert with business objectives and goals.

QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIFICATIONS:

Earned degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field from an accredited institution preferred.

Experience in software development, database architecture, website development, data storage systems, networking technology, mobile software development and cloud technologies.

A minimum of 5 years of technology experience with at least 5 years hands-on technical roles in the field and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Technical experience with systems networking, databases, Web development, and user support.

Experience in ASP.NET Web Forms/MVC/Web API, C#, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS, CSS, HTML, SQL/T-SQL, SQL Server Database Design, SQL Server Development, SQL Server Administration, SQL Server Reporting Services Development, SQL Server Reporting Services Administration.

Desired experience in UniData development, UniData administration, Colleague Studio, Colleague system administration, comprehensive understanding of Colleague modules.

Strong project management skills with effective results focus within an information systems environment. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes.

Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.

Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high-pressure on-call environment with changing priorities.

Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours.
