Senior SAP Functional Delivery Analyst

Position Summary

The system matter expert in SAP Configuration is a member of the Americas SAP Delivery team with full systems life cycle experience leading and executing to SAP implementations. This position has great growth potential and exposure to a variety of businesses in Stanley Black& Decker’s SAP landscapes. We are looking for a team player with very strong leadership, communication skills, and knowledge in the following areas:

Deep specialized SAP functional and configuration experience to include a subset of the following modules:

Sales & Distribution (SD)

Material Management (MM)

Customer Service(CS)

Logistics Execution (LE)

Global ATP, and/or Event Manager (EM)

Experience working with offshore functional configuration and development models.

Experience and deep knowledge leading and/or managing projects across requirements, design, build, testing, go-live and post production support phases of a systems implementation.

Travel is required.

Principal Accountabilities

Lead and execute to identify business requirements, map those requirements to SAP and industry best practices, and configure SAP functionality to satisfy those business requirements to endure a successful implementation.

Communicate SAP capabilities/possibilities within SAP module scope.

Lead projects and regularly coach other project personnel to ensure that the functionality is developed in a way that complies with business requirements and established methodologies and practices.

Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating/identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals, and implementing corrective actions.

Support blueprinting & Gap identification processes helping to map from the “AS IS” to the “TO BE”.

Help evaluate business processes, come up with alternatives for gaps where required, and engage Management as appropriate.

Work with the Business Process Owners and IT Teams to help support their Gaps. Once Gaps are approved, work with Business Process owners, ABAP development team, and project manager to implement the solution. This includes: design, configuration, testing, documentation, data conversion, develop functional specifications, and go live support.

Ensure that all mission critical operations are operational and accurate at Go Live so that end-to-end processes are executed without errors. The focus needs to be no impact to the customer.

Support legacy development of specifications for data conversion and interfaces into the SAP template processes where required.

Required Skills & Experience

Knowledge:
Experience in organizing, planning, and executing projects from vision through implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors.

Ability to analyze projects needs and determine resources needed to meet objectives.

Strong understanding of order to cash processes in SAP is required with industry experience across multiple industries/business segments

System Matter expert, primarily in Sales & Distribution(SD)

Strong understanding of integration points between Sales & Distribution and Manufacturing/Finance SAP functions

In-depth disciplinary knowledge; leverages business acumen and subject matter expertise.

Provides deep subject matter expertise, advice and program delivery.

Contributes to the development of new techniques and plans within area of expertise.

In-depth understanding of Stanley Black & Decker goals, customer requirements and knowledge of competitor practices.​

Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience leading and/or managing SAP implantations or SAP implementation sub teams in SAP functional modules specified.

Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP including but not limited to delivering functional configuration in Sales & Distribution (SD), Material Management (MM), Customer Relationship Management(CRM), Customer Service(CS), and/or Logistics Execution (LE), Global ATP, and/or Event Manager(EM)

6-8 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Additional Skills:
Additional experience in ABAP debugging and SAP technical troubleshooting a plus.

Possesses and applies:
A comprehensive knowledge of application programming and analysis.

Knowledge to analyze and develop solutions to highly complex problems.

A strong understanding of the principles of applications programming.

Competent to work in all phases of applications programming.

Demonstrated ability to lead projects or offer programming solutions at an advanced level.

Thorough understanding of key business processes and ability to communicate and translate those needs to technical solutions.

Education

Undergraduate degree in Computer Sciences or a related field and 6-8 years relevant experience, or

Graduate degree and 4-6 years of relevant experience
