Senior Payroll and Human Resources Analyst

Summary:
The Senior Payroll and Human Resources Analyst will beresponsible for ensuring the day to day management of payroll related data,payroll processing for semi-monthly employees, wage attachments and leavemanagement systems interface. Theposition is responsible for the preparation, audit, documentation, anddisbursement of hourly and salary payroll, and ensures that all processes arecompliant with federal, state and local agencies. ADP’s Payroll Workforce Nowsystem supports its payroll process and the payroll manager must be proficientin these systems. This role manages 3 or more units within a centralizedpayroll department in carrying out responsibility for payroll preparation /processing such as tax reporting, annual statements and payroll systemmaintenance and reporting.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilitiesto perform the essential functions. Process semi-monthly transfer of payroll data to ADP. Collect and process commissions, bonuses and other special payments. Poll electronic time system (ADP Workforce Now software) and review upload information for completeness and accuracy. Manage payroll related data necessary to process payroll and achieve zero error. Review all employee data changes before processing payroll and / or benefits enrollments. Audit and review all processed payroll for accuracy and compliance. Research and resolve all tax inquiries from local, state and federal entities. Keep abreast of the payroll processing system and changes in wage and tax laws. Research, process, respond and maintain garnishments, child support order and tax levies. Generate, develop / customize reports; create and manage uploads and downloads of employee date. Maintain payroll and tax files. Maintain and track SIT and SUI tax rates along with any local jurisdictions. Complete 401k and Workers Compensation annual audit. Manage time clock database. Manage payroll vendor relationships. Supervisory Responsibility:
Directlyresponsible for managing the payroll process from start to finish.

Required Education /ExperienceRequirements: Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources or equivalent. CPP certification preferred. Minimum 5 years’ experience of solid multi state payroll administration and processing. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of managing ADP payroll processing systems. Exceptional report writing skills. Strong customer service with above average problem solving skills. Knowledge of federal / state regulations related to payroll, HR and benefits such as FLSA, FMLA etc. Excellent time management skills. Must be able to multi-task, be detailed oriented and possess strong organization skills in order to meet strict deadlines. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written to ensure effective communication at all company levels both inside and outside of the organization. Solid technical understanding / experience in systems interfaces between payroll and third party vendor administrator products. Knowledge of state and federal tax filings, SIT and SUI tax rates a must. Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now systems preferred.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard officeequipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and faxmachines.
