Senior Operations Manager

What part will you play?
The Sr. Operations Manager role will oversee development and operations for the Product team initiatives including website, app, and connected device workstreams for BR Live.

What will you be doing?

• Understanding of digital products and product development life cycle – Day-to-day project management oversight over one to many work streams
• Familiarity with agile development processes and ability to run effective stand-ups
• Act as conduit between product, ops and development teams to ensure effective escalations, project communication and generate project plans
• Experience identifying dependencies, risks and putting together mitigation plans
• Ability to drive and direct projects, not just report on status – Must be able to drive a range of initiatives from both creative (design/UX/ideation) to highly technical (commerce, data feeds, video technologies).
• Resource planning responsibilities, matching resources to budget/scope
• Proven success using data to forecast how teams are trending toward deadlines
• Coordinate Quality Assurance and testing activities to ensure successful delivery of apps, including planning and executing rehearsals and simulations
• Maintain best practices and standards across use of approved tools (Confluence, JIRA, Basecamp, Smartsheets, etc.)
• Facilitate some requirements gathering including creating documentation for certain initiatives
• Program management responsibilities and ability to synthesize multiple work streams into an overall program plan and communicate it out to broader team
• Coordinate effective meeting management including developing agenda, conducting meetings and providing appropriate communication to all parties
• Strong process design skills including solutions that address challenges of concurrent horizon lifecycle
• Experience to coach and mentor more junior ops managers, interns & T3
• Knowledge of analytics, ad technologies, video operations and/or commerce a plus
• Willingness to jump in and assist with event operations as needed
• May be asked to help lead or participate in live product quality checks

What do we require from you?

• Minimum 8 years of project and program management experience with focus on digital projects
• Ability to analyze and help to eliminate risks, issues, and blockers
• Proficient in using various project management tools (e.g., Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint or Visio).
• Proven ability to work under deadlines on website-related projects and meet organizational goals.
