Senior .NET Developer

Description

The
Senior .NET Developer is responsible for leading the development,
implementation and support of individual applications. This involves planning,
analysis, detailed design, developing/coding, testing and implementation of the
components.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Either
    individually or leading a team of resources, determines hardware/software
    systems requirements and leading systems hardware/software design. Analyzes,
    designs, programs, debugs, supports, and modifies software enhancements and/or
    new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs.
  • Partners
    with the IT Architect during the initial stages of the project/solution to
    ensure the accuracy of business cases and that the solution will meet the
    business need.
  • Adheres
    to the established lifecycle methodology and practices in accordance to project
    plans while carrying out their responsibilities. This may include maintaining
    program libraries and technical documentation of the individual applications.
  • Either
    individually or leading a team of resources, using current programming language
    and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and
    debugging of applications.
  • Completes
    documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May interact
    with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of .NET development experience.
  • Experience developing and/or supporting applications with at least two of the following: SQL, Java, HTML, VB, C#, SSIS / DTS, SSRS, IIS.
  • Experience working on one of the following platforms: Windows, UNIX
  • Maintains deep understanding of application: Review and validates new application solutions; Align application functionality with business requirements and strategy; Anticipates issues and challenges affecting application functionality; Procures and implements additions to application portfolio while maintaining fiscal responsibility
  • Ability to develop and document functional, technical and user interface designs for an application that meets the defined requirements (business, system performance and standards)
  • Demonstrates deep expertise in specific coding concepts and/or languages – Evaluates program modules for performance scalability and openness of design – Provides technical guidance to less experienced developers – Reviews and/or certifies code of others – Predicts application development requirements based on changes in underlying architecture – Develops programming guidelines/standards and makes them accessible to other programmers

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with one or more products like IBM FileNet P8, Pega will be a plus
  • Experience in a Financial Services IT setting

Educational, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

Hours & Work Schedule

Hours per Week: 40

Work Schedule: M-F, 8-5
