Senior Manager Renewable Energy

Position Summary:
Working with business unit leaders, responsible for establishing an appropriate strategy for the department to ensure alignment with strategic initiatives and key results while maintaining compliance with applicable environmental regulations and ensuring the safety of our members Directly responsible for the required operation and maintenance of the assigned renewable generation assets in accordance with the Company’s strategic plans and goals, ensuring safety, efficiency, capability, and reliability. Responsible for the necessary coordination between work groups within the renewables department such that the individual sites function together to support system operations. Responsible for demonstrating business results and managing the assigned renewable generation assets through the use of performance metrics. Directly responsible for developing and managing Capital and O&M budget that are aligned with delivering results dictated by the Company’s strategic plans and goals. Responsible for all personnel functions including health and safety, training and member development, employment and selection for promotion. Responsible for interfacing as necessary with entities external to OG&E as the Company’s representative. This includes but is not limited to landowners, government personnel or agencies, trade associations and customers or suppliers

Primary Duties:
Establishing an appropriate strategy for the department to ensure alignment with strategic initiatives and key results while maintaining compliance with applicable environmental regulations and ensuring the safety of our members

Responsible for the required operation and maintenance of the assigned renewable generation assets in accordance with the Company’s strategic plans and goals, ensuring safety, efficiency, capability, and reliability.

Demonstrates role model behavior in safety and compliance and ensures and requires similar behavior of subordinates

Coordinates all personnel training, determining training requirements and previewing training material to ensure it fulfills training needs.

Ensures LOTO procedures and processes comply with current operating instructions (OIs), Department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company Safety Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).

Ensure oversight of members working with contractors and ensuring compliance with contract agreements as set forth by Supply Chain.

Solving various plant problems and selecting equipment, tools, machinery, and materials for use in the plant, as needed.

Coordinates, and approves site operation and maintenance including approval of major job planning and tool and material expenditures.

Makes independent decisions on taking most cost-effective outages and identifies other forms of employee, production and maintenance optimization.

Independently determines and makes recommendations regarding proper permanent and temporary staffing to operate assigned renewable generation assets such that Company goals and Key objectives are obtained

Identifies and obtains sufficient materials, supplies and tools to Operate and maintain assigned renewable generation assets such that Company goals and Key objectives are obtained

Delegates and assigns position responsibilities to assure an effective distribution of work

Responsible for the necessary coordination between work groups within the renewables department such that the individual sites function together to support system operations.

Confers and coordinates with OG&E Market Operations group to ensure all assigned Renewable generation sites are operating in a manner consistent with Company goals and key results

Provides insight and information to associated Business Units within OGE Energy Corporation representing operations on matters related to existing assets and future projects.

Responsible for demonstrating business results and managing the assigned renewable generation assets using performance metrics.

Independently ensures appropriate performance metrics are developed, updated and distributed that accurately reflect performance of assigned renewable generation assets as compared to Company goals and Key Results.

Responsible for developing and managing Capital and O&M budget that are aligned with delivering results dictated by the Company’s strategic plans and goals.

Makes a comprehensive recommendation defining capital requirements and develops the appropriate financial justification required for such expenditures and is able to demonstrate how those expenditures support the Company’s goals and Key Results. Does so through the use of metrics and data

Makes a comprehensive recommendations regarding site expense budgets (O&M) to include the payroll budget, operating budget and is able to demonstrate how those expenditures support the Company’s goals and Key Results.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a business, engineering or technical discipline with at least Five (5) years’ experience in a leadership position, At least three (3) years of which must have been in a utility Industry combined with Eight (8) years of experience in the operation and maintenance of relevant renewable generation asset operation including but not limited to Wind turbines, Solar installations, Fuel Cells, and Energy Storage Facilities. OR

Associate’s degree in a business, engineering or technical discipline with at least Ten (10) years’ experience in a leadership position at least two (2) of which are in the utility industry related to generation assets. OR

A High School Diploma with at least eight Ten (10) years’ experience in the operation and maintenance of relevant renewable generation asset operation including but not limited to Wind turbines, solar installations, Fuel Cells, and Energy Storage Facilities and Four (4) years of leadership/supervisory experience. Assets must have been in commercial operation status during the experience and included providing direction to members and/or contractors.

Valid State driver’s license

Strong knowledge of in the function of renewable generation equipment as it is assigned. This may include but not be limited to: Wind turbines, Solar installations, Fuel Cells, Energy Storage Facilities, Other renewable energy assets as appropriate.

Familiarity with safety standards applicable in the maintenance and operation of renewable energy generation as assigned

Strong aptitude in recognizing, diagnosing, and averting faulty operation of a wide variety of mechanical and electrical auxiliary and support equipment.

Ability to read and interpret schematics, one-line diagrams and prints.

Strong ability to make sound decisions by utilizing job knowledge, work experience, and evaluation of risks and consequences.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to interact effectively and tactfully both internally and externally.

Strong verbal and written skills.

Aptitude for publicly speaking in large group setting.

Demonstrated ability to use performance management concepts/tools to develop members effectively.

Demonstrated knowledge of personal computers with MS Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, SAP) and knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Work Management system (SAP).

Working Conditions:
May be required to work non-standard work schedules.

Work outside in all types of weather conditions.

May be required to work at heights up to and exceeding thirty (30) feet, underground and in confined spaces.

Subject to operating personal computer for extended periods.

May require extensive travel, including significant driving.
