Senior Manager, Business Technology Client Partner, Procurement

The Senior Manager, BT Client Partner is a client engagement role that partners directly with Global Procurement to ensure alignment of BT objectives to business requirements and to anticipate business needs. Working together with Global Procurement, GFS, ERP, E1, HR, BTAMS and other stakeholder teams, this person will ensure application solutions are aligned to business requirements and manage the execution of key projects in the Indirect Procurement (SAP Ariba) and Travel & Expense (SAP Concur) space. The person will interact with BTAMS, SAP Concur and SAP Ariba support teams to help address identified production deficiencies and functional/configuration gaps while ensuring sustainability and maintainability of the solutions to support Pfizer processes.

The Senior Manager, BT Client Partner will provide facilitation, consulting skills and project management expertise to successfully implement and support technology that will deliver value to the business client in line with BT methodology and controls. This person must have the ability to work and make sound decisions independently and as part of a broader client engagement team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with business clients, technical teams and key stakeholders to gather and manage requirements, assist in determining cost, plans and resources, develop as-is/to be process maps, perform gap analysis and prepare required documentation with the assistance of business analysts and subject matter experts
  • Support the RFI / RFP process where applicable for new projects
  • Ensures solutions are compliant with BT policies and procedures and project follows standard Pfizer SDLC processes
  • Ensures that customer expectations have been met through delivery of services or projects
  • Partners with BT service providers and customers to deliver projects and solutions effectively and efficiently
  • Analyzes business requests to determine how best to create successful resolution either within the global model or when not possible, develop and present alternatives and final recommendations
  • Manage and set stakeholder expectations ensuring that customer expectations have been met through solution delivery
  • Provide project leadership for global and regional deployments managing critical path and scope
  • Lead and direct multiple project teams located in different regions and time zones to ensure project tasks, and milestones are completed and executed according to plan
  • Communicate effectively within the project teams, key stakeholders, functional lines, external Resources
  • Facilitates technology initiative that directly impact the client’s portfolio

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years of progressively increasing responsibility in information technology
  • Demonstrated ability to model the Pfizer values, leader behaviors and leadership competencies is required
  • Excellent project management skills, specifically large scale global projects
  • Ability to lead in a complex, matrix environment with indirect resources geographically distributed
  • The ability to build effective relationships and communicate professionally with clients at all levels of the organization
  • Experience engaging with business teams and gathering requirements for business process automation solutions is required
  • Demonstrated experience with managing multiple aggressive global projects within scope, timelines, and budget
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with high level non-technical stakeholders as well as technical development teams
  • Advanced understanding of key activities associated with developing a realistic project schedule including activity duration estimation, sequencing, establishment of interdependencies and critical path analysis
  • Understanding of budget issues, and has ability to efficiently estimate costs and track project expenses to budget
  • Ability to organize tasks, time and priorities of self and others; ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with local and global internal & external Stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for this position

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Support for implementations sometimes falls outside of normal working hours and occasionally impacts weekends
