Basic Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

• BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, other technical degree, or related experience
• 6+ years professional experience in commercial or web-scale system engineering
• Expert skill in a scripting language such as Bash, Python, or Ruby
• Experience running and maintaining a 24×7 production computing environment
• Deep understanding of scalable computing systems
• Linux or Windows system administration or development
• Passion for technical leadership and mentoring
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills, with excellent problem solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in scalable Agile/SCRUM/Kanban enterprise-scale software development
• Experience with deployment management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
• Experience with a modern programming language such as C, C++, or Java
• Understanding of network fundamentals
• Understanding of distributed storage performance challenges and their solutions
• Experience with secure system configuration and security principles
• Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment
• Team leadership experience (mentoring, lead projects and small teams, interview, code reviews, etc)
