Senior Java Developer

Contract to Hire (seeking North Carolina applicants)

Responsibilities

• Develop application features using Java technologies
• Design and develop platform services and their RESTful interfaces
• Provide technical expertise on technologies
• Assist in defining software architectures
• Estimate workload requirements
• Write well-maintainable, reusable code
• Respond to support issues

Requirements

• 5+ years experience working on SaaS based application
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Expertise coding in Java, J2EE
• Expertise with JSON data structures
• Expertise in Service Oriented Design & implementing RESTful APIs, WSDL, XSD, Web services and XML
• Strong SQL skills and experience writing stored procedures
• Solid experience with Apache and Tomcat
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Good object-oriented design skills

Familiarity with

• Design patterns
• MVC architecture
• JSP and AJAX
• Maven, Subversion (SVN), Jenkins, GIT and ANT

Passionate about all things related to development

Bonus points for

• Experience in Single Sign-On (SSO)
• Experience with messaging API such as JMS
