Senior Front Office User Interface developer (C#, .Net, WPF)

You will be part of the Spread technology team, building trading, pricing, risk, and p&l system. This is a fast-paced environment with focus on quick delivery of technology solutions to the trading desks in New York, London and Hong Kong.

We design, develop and build applications that provide real-time capabilities in Offerings, Pricing, Position and Risk. We are a highly specialized team dedicated to the delivery of functionality that drives revenue for the bank and increases business automation and efficiency while maintaining focus on strategic technology deliverables for our front-office users.

Role
Spread technology is seeking a C#/.NET/WPF/WCF hands on senior software engineer to collaborate with trading business partners to analyze and design innovative solutions to business issues and opportunities that drive results in line with business tech strategy.

The ideal candidate possesses a passion for technology, excellent problem solving skills, thinks and acts strategically, thrives in a dynamic business and technical environment where change is constant. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate with other technologists and business partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with a global team of developers to enhance the real time position, risk, PnL and relative value user interfaces
  • Execute software development including analysis, requirements definition, technical design, programming, testing, technical documentation, and implementation of front-end and middle tier layers for real time position, risk and PnL trading system.
  • Design and develop n-tier software using Microsoft technologies
  • Act as the point of contact for business partners (front and middle office) demonstrating a solid understanding of business needs and envisage how they can best be served by process improvements and technology
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
  • Maintain and improve code quality, organization, and automation

LI/POST

  • Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in Computer Science/Math/Engineering
  • 10+ years of user interface development experience in C#/.Net/WPF/WCF
  • Work closely with senior technologists and business partners (front and middle office), demonstrate understanding of business requirements and deliver new process improvements and technology
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills with the ability to be highly effective with both technical and business users
  • Ability to work independently on projects and issues
  • Experience in working with stakeholders and end-users
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency while maintaining attention to detail

R equired skills:

  • Strong C#/.Net/WPF development skills
  • Ability to work closely with business
  • Sybase and SQL server databases
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

Desired skills:

  • Experience with messaging systems (ex: TIBCO EMS)
  • HTML5 / Java script / Open Fin
  • Fixed Income products knowledge
