Senior Front-end Engineer

Team Description:
CaseStack is an emerging, private equity backed, cloud-based logistics company. We have had on average a 20% annual growth for five years and because of that stability we have begun branching into new areas.

We have recently established a ‘New Products Development Group’ which serves as the R&D wing within CaseStack. The group’s primary aim is to create new and innovative ways to solve problems in Logistics and Supply Chain. The industry as a whole has stagnated over the last 15 years making this a field that is ripe for disruption.

Role Description:
We are looking for full-stack software engineers, DevOps engineers, and software architects who are creative problem solvers and can take initiative. You will have a lot of freedom in steering the technical direction of the teams. We’re growing quickly, and there is lots to do.

We are constantly experimenting with a wide array of technologies- React, Python, Node.js, AngularJS, Aurelia, Kubernetes, Docker, etc (more on that here: http://stackshare.io/casestack-cloud-services/default ). Although specific knowledge of programming languages and toolchains are useful, we are more interested in individuals with excellent problem solving abilities, intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn.

Select Responsibilities:
Collaborate with product management, UX designers, and stakeholders to design and engineer products.

Work on the frontend and backend to develop new feature from start to finish, including design of architecture, coding, and testing.

Iterate on improvements, while paying particular attention to quality, maintainability, scalability, and performance.

Demonstrate your multi-disciplinary skill-set while you both teach and learn from other engineers.

Ideal Candidate

Computer Science/Engineering Degree or equivalent experience.

Strong knowledge of data structures , algorithms, and software design patterns.

Deep understanding of JavaScript fundamentals.

Strong sense for user experience.

Experience in a fast-moving JavaScript ecosystem: build systems (gulp, webpack), TypeScript, Babel, ES6 / ES7.

Experience in one or more of AngularJs (1.x 2.x, 4.x), React, Aurelia, RxJS.

Experience in modern HTML and CSS
