Job Description

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will be part of an Agile DevOps team whose responsibilities span the entire product life cycle.

You will also provide technical guidance to other engineers.

You will have the full responsibility of systems from developing/testing to deploying/support.

This role is focused on back end development.

In addition, you may also be asked to contribute to UI and middle tier solutions.

Engineers on our team are also responsible for deploying the code in production and troubleshooting production issues.

This role may also include developing scripts and utilities to automate data collection, interpreting the collected data, and offering recommendations on code and workflow optimizations based on the data collected.

Responsibilities Interprets internal/external business issues and recommends complete solutions based on best practices and proven technologies.

Works with other members of cross-functional teams, third party vendors, and company product managers and marketing teams to deliver quality products in a timely fashion that meet defined requirements.Is diligent about recording/documenting development and production support activities and tasks in Rally or other tools.

Deploys new systems and software including appropriate testing to ensure successful deployment. Determines the necessary test coverage and plans for deployment strategy.

Participates in Company product lifecycle process.

Contributes to and/or creates product and technical requirements, detailed design documents including transaction, capacity and bandwidth models, systems definitions, and operational procedures as part of this process.

Trains or mentors less-experienced and peer engineers.

Trains Tier 1 or 2 operations and provides appropriate documents as needed.

Preferred Qualifications Computer Science Degree, Engineering Degree, or equivalent relevant experience.

Generally, requires 7 – 11 years of related experience.

Experience with a variety of scripting languages including PERL, Unix Shell, Groovy, and JavaScript.

Experience with Java, Spring, and Maven.

Prefer at least 7 years of Java programming experience.

Experience with Java test automation (JUnit, Mockito).

Virtualization/cloud experience (VMware or OpenStack).

Understanding on how to scale applications depending on load.

Experience with web application development including HTML5, CSS, and JS integration.Prior Working experience with DataStax/Cassandra or other NoSQL database.

Experience with build/deployment automation.

Ability to navigate and troubleshoot Linux operating systems and applications.

Excellent network and application troubleshooting skills

.Ability to clearly articulate complex issues and technologies.Ability to take ownership of problems and see them through resolution.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced agile environment.

Requirements change quickly and our team needs to constantly adapt to moving targets.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Developer will be responsible for translation development, scripting and automation of inbound and outgoing files, creating and updating dashboards, resolving communications and data translation errors.

This is a full-time, exempt position. Hours are generally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

A successful developer will effectively manage multiple issues in a timely and efficient manner, be able to multi-task, as well as learn new mapping and programming skills quickly.

-Partner with team members throughout the organization, using data to deepen customer relationships, drive revenue and identify customer growth opportunities.

-Learn new applications, processes and procedures quickly.

-Help to automate and improve processes for employees, using a variety of tools.

-Be able to customize and automate EDI transactions.

– Monitor, troubleshoot, resolve and process inbound and outbound files.

– Work with Exchange data, ensuring compliance with rigorous federal standards.

– Build innovative ETL solutions for every phase of the data lifecycle.

– Develop SQL code and build ETL packages to integrate data.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

We want motivated and capable software developers who are excited about building top-notch applications for our customers.

-Minimum of 5 years work experience as a developer.

– BS degree in Information System, Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent work experience.

-Biztalk, C#, Microsoft SQL Server experience required.

-Postgres, XML, and XSL experience is a plus.

-Understanding of standard X12 formats, especially 834.

-Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.

-Organizational and analytical skills, ability to prioritize.

-Strong technical management and technical problem resolution skills.

-Demonstrated ability to perform application build and testing of applications.

-You must be authorized to work in the U.S.
