SUMMARY

Responsible for developing websites, web applications, and other interactive experiences. Bring websites and other client projects to launch, on budget and on time.

As a Developer

Develop web based solutions and complex user interface designs using various application development technologies, primarily; NodeJS, React, PHP, jQuery, Javascript and .NET Core.
Troubleshoot issues, recommend appropriate solutions and support resolution accordingly.
Develop prototypes for design, development, usability, review and evaluation.
Provide accurate work estimates for development efforts and help develop work plans and ensure deliverables are on time and high quality.
Update project leads on any tasks that are at risk or where project plan adjustments need to be made.
Plan and execute unit integration for assigned work on large sized projects.
Utilize and apply coding standards and best practices for developed code.
Provide technical consultation and support oversight for existing and new applications.
Stay abreast of leading edge technologies and best practices.
Performs other duties as assigned.

As a Leader

Participate in technical strategic decisions.
Work with Business Analysts, Project Managers and other team members during the project phases to understand and implement the business functionality.
Help develop partnerships with stakeholders and be viewed as an advocate and trusted advisor.
Rely on knowledge and professional discretion to achieve goals. May guide day to day activities of others. Significant ingenuity and flexibility is expected.
Liaison with other development, infrastructure and operations teams.
Look for opportunities to improve processes and tools.

REQUIREMENTS

HS Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Five (5) years or more development experience in an Open Source environment, including an depth knowledge of NodeJS and React as well as one or more of the following: PHP, .NET Core, jQuery, Javascript, advanced CSS techniques and a familiarity with the MySQL database environment.
Five (5) or more years working knowledge, production support, and configuration experience of relevant systems applications required.
Experience with DevOps frameworks such as Docker, Nomad, Apache Kafka and Consul are a huge plus.
Experience with advanced IDE tools such as VSCode, Netbeans or Eclipse.
Experience with source code repository tools such as Git.
Two (2) or more years of experience with agile software development methodologies
Two (2) or more years of experience providing leadership and mentoring to team members
Two (2) or more years of experience participating on cross-functional, major project initiatives
Experience with supporting different types of implementations including: enhancement/support projects, new development projects and third party package software
Must have strong PC skills and working knowledge with Microsoft Office products, SharePoint and tracking software.
