Senior Designer

Fiction is a strategy and design firm based in Portland, Oregon. We work with global brands and local companies to create work that emotionally connects with audiences.

We’re seeking an experienced Senior Designer with forward-thinking ideas, an inquisitive energy, and a high design aesthetic. The designer should be able to work independently as well as part of a team. The ideal candidate will be able to both conceptualize and execute — with attention to type and details.

Requirements:
Responsibilities:

• Lead projects from concept through execution while meeting brand design standards and timelines.
  
• Ability to brainstorm independently and with groups – and clearly articulate your ideas.
  
• Possess strong concept and design skills that inspire those around you.
  
• Work well as part of a team of designers and creative directors.
  
• Deliver work that exceeds client expectations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 5+ years experience
  
• Experience working with retail brands a plus
  
• Ability to translate strategic vision into tangible deliverables.
  
• Comfortable working on multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  
• Expert understanding of Adobe creative suite: especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  
• Degree in Graphic Design, Media Design, Fine Arts, or similar.
